The name Milwaukee is derived from ‘Milliocki’ which means, gathering place by water. The city was also referred to as the ‘Cream City’, due to the yellowish hued bricks produced by the brick pioneers. The early brick makers who were disappointed by the looks of the brick soon found its color a blessing in disguise, because of its high demand among people of other cities. These bricks are still high in demand but are no more manufactured but recycled.

Milwaukee has a rich heritage that can be witnessed during the summerfest which happens to be the world’s largest music festival.
